This blog is especially for those guys and girls who are suffering from symptoms of this syndrome and how they can go about easing them (If you’re one of the unlucky few then you know how uncomfortable this situation can be!).
Some things just knock you hard in the gut! Whether it's stress at the workplace or your little boy wreaking havoc at school or maybe even a stressful marriage. The key word here is stress, which can lead to an excessive release of stress coping hormones in the body like cortisol and adrenaline. Another byproduct of this is that your body tightens up and your muscles tend to clench up and intestines either suddenly feel like emptying out completely or stiffening up and sealing up all the poop inside. Either of the two situations can be a nuisance and you’ll either end up running to the bathroom in the middle of a boardroom meeting or suffer from constipation which can be quite painful.
The key thing to remember here is that if these situations are stress related then it’s completely normal to have these irritating bowel movements, but if it becomes habitual, chances are that you’re experiencing the dreaded symptoms of IBS.
If you’re experiencing pain, gas, bloating, diarrhea and constipation for either long periods of time or too frequently then you’re one of the many people that are suffering from IBS.
There are a few medical ways to treat the syndrome as well, but we’re going to tell you a few easy home remedies that should do the trick for 9 out of 10 cases. Remedy number one is to work out regularly. Continuous workouts can help alleviate stress and release the tension in the body, relaxing muscles and regulating frequent bowel movement.
Another important tip is to include fiber rich foods in your diet. Fiber-rich fruits and vegetables help relieve one of the conditions like constipation and are considered a staple IBS treatment to be gradually undertaken over several weeks.
Another thing that may silently be aggravating your condition is dairy products. Reducing the amount of lactose in your diet can actually ease the IBS symptoms in your body. Try replacing milk with curd for starters!
