Obesity today is one of the biggest concerns of the people, especially in our country. Did you guys know that India ranks 3rd in the list of the countries with the highest population of overweight and obese people in the world!

It’s no surprise that one in every three people in our country is obese, considering the kind of lifestyle that the majority of the classes, especially the middle class have adopted! These guys are so busy suiting up and going to work that they forget the importance of eating right and eating healthy.

Processed foods have flooded the Indian markets thanks to the high globalization, and as a result we’ve got a hundred different ways to choose fatty foods from the market. Not to mention that processed foods also may be carcinogenic in majority of the cases, but the main cause of concern is the high level of trans fats and saturated fats that these foods have. Potato chips have replaced the pohas as the mid meal snacks, and healthy roughage filled meals have taken a back seat with cheese and bread driving majority of the lives. Experts say the prevalence of obesity is greater in urban areas, and women are more affected than men. It’s no surprise that the case is getting more and more severe as we speak, you’d know what we mean. Those jeans are no longer usable are they? With the extra beefy thighs and bulging bellies. Maybe, just maybe it could be the colas and burgers that are to blame and they probably need to be skipped for a few weeks.

Well, Butterscotch Muesli could just be one of the key superfoods to help manage your weight and shed a few extra kilos. Replace your usual oily and fatty breakfasts with a bowl or two of muesli and you’ll know what I mean. Replace the old buttered up paratha, which is loaded with fats and simple carbs that turn to fat if not used by the body with a bowl of wholesome goodness, containing complex carbs, healthy fats, and the much needed fiber that packs a powerful punch in terms of taking up space in the stomach and giving you energy through the day, but very little in terms of calories. Fiber rich foods such as muesli have a strong reputation of keeping you full for longer and causing very little calorie intake. What this means is that you’re probably not going to feel like munching on a snack in between lunch and breakfast and eat a lighter lunch since the muesli was so filling. The result will be lesser calories and hence, lesser fat around your tummy.

Consider it a life hack!
