Ways To Tackle The Stubborn FAT!

Obesity is not a minor problem.It actually reduces life expectancy by a quarter.

It’s a known fact that our land is plagued by obesity. Let’s not add to the existing numbers and try and trim down a bit and edge closer towards normality and steady the sails of health just enough to spare our nation the blushes, a nation that currently ranks third in the list of most obese nations. It’s not that hard to lose that stubborn fat if you actually break it down into a few simple steps. Too much work? We’ve taken the time to do that for you!

Step 1 – Hydrate yourself – Drink plenty of water, about 2 glasses every hour. If you can gulp down upward of 4 liters of water you’re going to boost your metabolism and help lose fat and burn it more quickly. Studies have shown that after drinking water the metabolic rate goes up by 30%!

Step 2 – Stay on your toes – It’s time to let go of the precious chairs and sofas and stay on your feet as much as you can. It activates your whole body, including hamstrings calves and glutes and helps burn more calories without you even noticing it.

Step 3 – Make sure to hit the metal everyday – Weight training has shown over the years to be just as effective as cardio when it comes to burning fat, and it helps build muscle as well. Sounds like a fair deal doesn’t it? Ofcourse it does! So wake up early and go to the gym in the mornings, leaving your exercise for once your back home from work never actually materializes. So go early and make it a point to set your alarms!

Step 4 – Cut down on those carbs – Keep your sources of carbs healthy and stick to complex carbs such as sweet potatoes or brown rice rather than starchy carbs such as white rice and potatoes. Trim them down as the day goes on and try consuming the bulk of your carbs by 3pm and stop soon after.

Step 5 – Up the protein – Increase your protein intake and load on the meat, eggs and protein shakes so that your body gets the fuel it needs to replenish after those intense workouts. Protien boosts the metabolism and helps burn more fat when eaten than when the body digests carbs and fats. So eat up!

Stick to these and you should be good to go, besides this you can try HIIT and other workout regimes as well to up your heart rates and burn more fat. The sky is the limit but you need to get out of bed and start first!
