A steady gym regime is great for your body, but is enough to get the abs packs you are dreaming about?

Too many people overemphasize the importance the gym but undervalue the importance of healthy food. Here are few ways you can get your dream body in the kitchen:

Eat protein in every meal possible:

Protein is the nutrient for your muscles. So if you want to build those abs muscles, you need protein. Also, protein speeds up your metabolism and can help your cells repair faster. They make you feel fuller and hence, you are less likely to do mindless snacking. Including protein doesn’t mean eating bland protein powder, you can always find foods rich in this nutrient which suits your palate.

Don’t be afraid of fats:

‘Eat more fats’, seems weird! Fats are essential for your body, but make sure you take the good ones and curb the bad ones. Shying away from fat can lower the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients which can affect your immune system and health. Also, foods manufactured as ‘low in fat’ are often loaded with sugar and unnecessary carbs which lead to unstable energy.

Don’t totally ditch the carbs:

Motivated to lose the belly fat so that your abs can be seen properly? Great, it is right, but following a no-carb diet for the same reason is totally wrong. In fact, you are harming your body with this. Your body technically may not require carbs for survival , but they are required . If you cut your carbs to zero, your workouts will suffer. They also help maintain your metabolic rate and maintains the level of leptin hormone which is crucial for fat burning. So, reduce the carbs from your diet, understand the difference between simple and complex carbs, but don’t totally ditch them.

Manipulate your food:

We all love food, each person is a born foodie, but if you need that body, you need to manipulate your food. Snacks are the most unplanned meals, you need to think well in advance, plan out your every meal intake including snacks. Snacking is not the problem, mindless snacking is. To stop the mindless snacking, you need plan ahead of time and manipulate your food to a healthier alternative. If you crave for sugar, you can have a cinnamon with apple, instead of some sugary sweet. In this similar pattern, you can manipulate each of your food.

And finally, toned tummy never happens overnight. You need to stick to things more seriously. Don’t forget your exercise, your body is a perfect combination of eating habits and workout. So to get your dream body, you need to move your body and stop your teeth at the right time.
