Spending a long day at the office can drain your mind and body, but your work life is the host of certain habits that takes a toll on your health. The worst part? These habits are accidental and you may not even realize it.

Here's a good news, it's never too late to change. Read further to discover some mindless habits you are practicing and what can you do change it.

Skipping the breakfast:

The morning hustle bustle and the rush to reach out of the door can make you easily forgo the breakfast. It can be easy to slurp just a cup of coffee, but skipping breakfast does no good to your body. Breakfast can help you kickstart your metabolism and prevent the energy slumps and hunger cravings.Cook some easy to make breakfast and have some on-the-go breakfast like granolas at your home especially for the late days.

Leaning your face on your hand:

Sure, it is comfortable or maybe you are doing it without even thinking, but touching your face excessively is an enemy to skin care. It can make your face more prone to breakouts. Watch for its habit and wash your face once a while.

Having a messy desk:

Let’s get real about how messy your desk is! How many piles of paper lying like a Jenga, folders and what now! Having a weekly detox of your desk is a necessity. You need to be stricter on what goes on your desk and what not. And while you are doing it, you can, of course, try accessorizing your desk and make your dull desk more stimulating.

Forgetting to drink water:

We are pretty sure that you are not drinking enough. Water is great for your skin and brain power. It can reduce a headache and boost your energy. So have your own water bottle, placed on your desk and sip some water every 30 minutes at least.

Slouching on your chair all day:

Sitting is the new smoking, which is isn’t at all good for you if you are chained to the desk. Your sitting posture also has a negative influence on your mood. A sedentary lifestyle can increase your risk of lifestyle disease and you are hurting your back by being an office couch potato. Make it a point to sit upright- no hunching and no slouching. Fidget your way to fitness and move around once a while to combat a sedentary lifestyle.

Being a people pleaser:

Is it too hard to say a no to your colleague? Being a people pleaser simply invites more work, even more than the one you can handle. It dwindles your priorities and your no task is actually complete properly. It interferes with your work’s quality. So next time if someone asks you to lend a hand, think well before nodding.

Leaving your office late:

Your to-do list is bigger than rapunzel’s plate and you are thinking to leave your office is doing good for you and increasing your productivity, think again. Certain study claim that people who stick to office hours work more diligently without many distractions while those who tend to leave late have more distractions. So stick to your schedule and make sure that you complete all your to-do list before that.

Checking your emails after office hours:

Mindless scrolling or checking your mail before the bedtime may seem insignificant but it can contribute to exhaustion. You need to strike a balance between office, friends, and family. So cut back a little, make sure you take no office calls once you leave your office unless it's too urgent. Leave office at the office, don’t take it home with you.

Break these habits and have a healthy office.
