A fresh bowl of greens with luscious and sweet sorghum syrup, tangy balsamic vinegar and a dash of smoked paprika and cayenne to heat things up- this dish has just the right flavors. It is a low-calorie salad, bursting with nutrients and can be a part of your weight loss diet.

Servings 4

Ingredients

- Iceberg lettuce, roughly torn- 4 cups
- Alfalfa sprouts- 1 cup
- Beets, thinly sliced- ½ medium sized
- Onion, sliced- ¼
- Cherry tomato, halves- 4-6 no.

Dressing:

- True Elements raw apple cider vinegar with mother- 1 tbsp
- True Elements cane sorghum- 1 tsp
- Balsamic vinegar- 3 tbsp
- Extra virgin olive oil- 2 tbsp
- Garlic powder- ¼ tsp
- Chili powder- ¼ tsp
- Cayenne pepper- one pinch
- Smoked paprika- one pinch
- Salt- as desired

 

 

Directions:

In a small bowl add all the ingredients listed in the dressing section and give it a thorough whisk. 
In a large bowl, add all the freshly chopped veggies. Pour the dressing over it and combine it gently. Serve the salad immediately.
