Bamboo rice ( Mulayari ) is collected by the people of tribes residing in the forest. It is derived from the seeds of flowers. Bamboo rice is a specific variety of rice and is not produced throughout the year.

It grows at the end of the lifespan of the Bamboo tree. During the process of milling the rice, chlorophyll from the bamboo is added to it too gives it a flavor & aroma which is similar to jasmine green tea.

The bamboo rice is sweet, pungent, nutritious and strong. It cures Kapha and pitta dosha, removes toxic substances from the body and cures conditions where vital humors of the body are removed from the body (excreted) through urine.
